Ethical Framework Policy

The International, Open Access, Peer-Reviewed, Cross Ref, Multidisciplinary, and Bilingual (English and Hindi) Global E-Journal of Social Scientific Research ISSN: 3107-3883 (Online) is a Monthly E-Journal published by the Global Center for Social Dynamic Research  This journal is deeply committed to upholding the highest standards of ethics in scholarly publishing.

This Ethical Framework Policy outlines the core ethical principles that guide our operations and defines the responsibilities and expectations for all parties involved in the research and publication ecosystem, including authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers.

1. Principles of Ethical Publishing

We are committed to:

  • Integrity in Research and Publication
    Ensuring that all research published is original, free of fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism, and conducted with academic honesty.

  • Transparency and Accountability
    Maintaining openness in editorial processes, conflict of interest disclosures, funding sources, and authorship contributions.

  • Fair and Rigorous Peer Review
    Upholding a double-blind peer-review system that is objective, timely, and unbiased.

  • Respect for Human and Cultural Sensitivities
    Ensuring that research adheres to ethical standards regarding human subjects, privacy, consent, and cultural sensitivity.

2. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting to the journal must:

  • Submit original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

  • Properly acknowledge all sources, data, and references.

  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest or financial support.

  • Ensure all co-authors have contributed significantly and have approved the final manuscript.

  • Avoid unethical practices such as plagiarism, redundant publication, or image/data manipulation.

  • Seek appropriate ethical clearance (when applicable) for research involving human subjects, and submit proof if requested.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Peer reviewers are expected to:

  • Review manuscripts confidentially and impartially.

  • Provide constructive, respectful, and timely feedback.

  • Declare any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves when appropriate.

  • Maintain confidentiality about the content and outcome of the review process.

  • Refrain from using any information obtained during peer review for personal or professional gain.

4. Responsibilities of Editors and the Editorial Board

Editors are responsible for:

  • Ensuring an unbiased, fair, and timely editorial process.

  • Making publication decisions based solely on academic merit, relevance, and ethical standards.

  • Preventing and addressing all forms of misconduct, including plagiarism, authorship disputes, and unethical research practices.

  • Preserving the anonymity of peer reviewers and authors during the double-blind process.

  • Providing clear guidelines to authors, reviewers, and editors regarding the journal’s expectations.

5. Plagiarism Policy

All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection tools. Any manuscript found to contain plagiarized content (including self-plagiarism) will be:

  • Rejected immediately if under review.

  • Retracted if already published.

  • The authors may be blacklisted for future submissions, and the matter may be reported to their affiliated institutions.

6. Corrections, Retractions, and Editorial Actions

We are committed to correcting the scholarly record when errors or misconduct are identified. This may include:

  • Corrections for minor errors.

  • Retractions for major errors, ethical violations, or fraudulent data.

  • Editorial expressions of concern when investigations are ongoing.

7. Copyright, Licensing & Open Access

The journal follows an open-access policy. Authors retain copyright under a Creative Commons License (selected during submission), enabling free and perpetual access to all published content.

8. Inclusion, Equity, and Non-Discrimination

We uphold a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination or bias based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, disability, or institutional affiliation in any part of the publication process.

9. Data Sharing and Transparency

Authors are encouraged to share underlying data and methodological details where appropriate, to support transparency and reproducibility. Sensitive data must be handled with appropriate safeguards and ethical approvals.

10. Appeals and Complaints Process

Any author or reviewer who believes that ethical or procedural misconduct has occurred may appeal editorial decisions or submit complaints by writing to the journal’s Ethics Committee at:

Each complaint will be handled seriously, confidentially, and in accordance with COPE guidelines.

This Ethical Framework Policy reflects our commitment to scholarly integrity, accountability, and social responsibility. All participants in the publishing process are expected to adhere to these principles to ensure the credibility and excellence of the Global E-Journal of Social Scientific Research.

Policies on Conflict of Interest, Human and Animal rights, and Informed Consent 

​

  • Authors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that could inappropriately influence (or appear to influence) their research, analysis, or interpretation of results.

  • Editors and reviewers are required to declare any conflicts of interest related to submitted manuscripts and must recuse themselves where appropriate.

  • All disclosed conflicts of interest will be published in the final article for transparency.

  • If no conflict exists, authors must explicitly state: “The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest.”

  • Research involving human participants must comply with ethical standards of the Declaration of Helsinki (2013 revision) or equivalent national/international guidelines.

  • Studies involving human participants must have prior approval from a recognized Ethics Committee / Institutional Review Board (IRB), and such approval must be stated in the manuscript.

  • For research involving animals, authors must follow internationally accepted standards such as the ARRIVE guidelines and must obtain approval from relevant Institutional Animal Ethics Committees.

  • GEJSSR does not accept studies that do not adhere to recognized ethical standards for the care and use of human participants or animals.

  • For all studies involving human participants, written informed consent must be obtained from participants (or their legal guardians, where applicable).

  • When reporting case studies, images, or personal details, authors must confirm that consent for publication has been obtained.

  • In cases where participants are minors or vulnerable populations, additional safeguards and guardian consent are required.

  • Identifying information should only be included where scientifically relevant and only with explicit consent.

  • Authors must state in their manuscript: “Informed consent was obtained from all individual participants included in the study.”
